Wing Chun Kungfu was created over 400 years ago by Ng Mui, a nun from the Southern Shaolin Temple. The skill is named after her first student, a woman called Yim Wing Chun.
Peter Andersen learnt this skill with his Sifu, Grandmaster Michael Tse, who is one of his most senior students of Grandmaster Ip Chun, eldest son of the the legendary Ip Man (the subject five major motion pictures). Ip Man taught many respected martial artists, his most famous student being Bruce Lee.
Wing Chun Kung Fu is a self-defence skill that is designed to help a weaker person deal with someone stronger. This is done by training Chi Sau (sticking hands), a partner training that develops sensitivity, footwork and technique.
